5 Van Site

On behalf of the Camping & Caravan Club Haxey Quays offers a peacefull  and pretty  riverside  location .  Our land has had no chemicals on it for the past 15 years and as a consequence ,there is abundant wildlife including Deer,wild geese,hares, foxes, barn owls , kestrels  etc…….. on the river, swans and many variety of wildfowl and some  big fish!!.We have some lovely country walks on our doorstep and a  great network of back lanes and tracks for those who enjoy cycling There are a good selection of farm produce stalls, with honesty boxes en route, also  some lovely country pubs  to stop off at for a  lunch or maybe just a pint. Some note worthy hostelries are………..  The Gate Inn, 100yds from the site with a nine hole golf course and a driving range, good real ales and great food The White Hart West Stockwith with it’s own micro brewery , The Waterfront Inn opposite the Marina at West Stockwith and finally The Crooked billet at Owston Ferry where you can get a great curry………… plenty to tempt you!

The site itself  comprises  our generously sized Five van area and also a large Rally field plus other land that we farm, in all about 25 acres for you to enjoy!

Facilities on site are good but basic, two water points and two Elsan points with sluice out.So you will need your own toilet facilities on board!  Each visitor is given their own key for the gate which is generally kept closed most of the time. On site there  is a slipway for launching dingies/canoes etc.. together with a mooring point.For the Fishermen and Fisherwomen! We have over a mile of riverfront, …. if you are camping with us, the fishing is FREE!!!

£7.50  per unit per night.

£45.00 per unit per week.

Mid-Week Deal: Sunday – Thursday Night Inclusive £30.00

We are relaxed about check  in/out times , so on a Sunday, have your lunch, have a snooze and move off after  tea …….arrivals,  anytime after the sun comes up!…… Also, we don’t charge extra for awnings, dogs , budgies etc. All we ask is that you are as fair with us as we are with you. ie. Don’t invite a dozen mates to sleep in your awning!! Our rates are based on  2 adults + a couple of kids… max.

NB. Don’t just turn up at the gate, please book in advance. Also ,be aware that all club rules apply strictly to this site. Respect for fellow campers is top of the list, so no noise after 11.00pm please.
